Research Experiences

My research project mainly focus on exploration of the human gut microbiome roles in human health toward clinical application. My PhD project aims for comprehensive characterizations of human fecal microbiome and metabolome after gastrectomy for gastric cancer. During my PhD, I also actively involved in research project related to colon cancer surgery, hereditary colorectal cancer and diet-microbiome project. Currently, my postdoctoral research project further explore the potential association of human microbiome with long-term diseases condition using the large, deeply phenotype population cohort of Finnish individual.

Past Research

I have worked on the deep-sea metagenomics study and synthetic biology during my undergraduate years. After graduations of the bachelor program, I have worked in private research institute working on phytochemical effectiveness as anticancer treatment.
